From Zebediela Roots to a Love for Fashion
I was born in Pretoria, at Kalafong Hospital, but I grew up in Zebediela in the Limpopo Province, where my mother was born. From a young age—before I even turned ten—I had a curious nature. My mother was the one who bought clothes for my younger brother Les and me throughout the year.
I remember always asking her where she got our jeans, shoes, or t-shirts and how much they cost. She’d often inflate the prices by a big margin—probably because I had this habit of judging the quality of clothes based on their price. It wasn’t until I became an adult that I realized she wasn’t always telling the truth about those prices! But honestly, that didn’t matter. I loved those clothes deeply, and so did my brother. Those were beautiful times, filled with love, style, and childhood wonder.
